About the Film
Figure You Out is an emotionally intimate drama scene centered around two exes, Katie and Sam, whose unresolved feelings come crashing back during a seemingly harmless reunion.
What begins with teasing and flirtation quickly spirals into confession, conflict, and truth. Set almost entirely in a bedroom over one tense, unfolding conversation, the scene explores themes of identity, resentment, emotional dependence, and the lies we tell ourselves — and each other.

Filmed with a small team and a tight focus on character work, it was an opportunity to strip things back — to let two actors carry the full emotional weight of the piece. No big plot, no special effects — just the messiness of human connection, regret, and missed chances.
